The thing I
“geek out” over is cheerleading. I have been a cheerleader my whole life and when
I see something that must do with cheerleading I go crazy for it. I know this
may not seem like something to be obsessed about but I am. Being a cheerleader
has got me through so many things throughout my life. Cheer has taught me to be
strong, be a hard worker, and to never back down. The past eleven years or so
of being a cheerleader has been amazing and I will always “geek out” over it. The
intensity of cheer is amazing. You get so many feelings when you do this sport.
The rush of excitement you get when you are flipping across the mat and flying
hoping and trusting that people will catch you and not let you fall is
something that just does not come to you. You must learn to trust people with your
life pretty much. Since I am no longer a cheerleader anymore I still want to do
it again just like other people with their sport. When I graduated high school
that was the last time I would cheer again. Cheer is a sport that teaches you
life lessons like I had said earlier. I thanked all my couches through you my
years of cheerleading and told them how much they mean to me. The coaches you have
in cheer are your family. They teach you from being so little to your last days
as being with them. I have always had that one coach that taught me everything
and I will cherish the memories I have had with them. This may not be something
you would ever “geek out” over at all but we all different and “geek out” in
different ways.
The crazy thing is is that i was a cheerleader for 10 years and im the same way even though i do not cheer now
ReplyDeleteMaddie, I completely understand how you feel and yes I think the hardest part about cheerleadering was senior year doing everything again for the last time.
